Wes is a character first featured in River City Ransom: Underground. He is an employee of Merv Enterprises and is the personal bodyguard of Merv. Wes is the leader of the Mercs.

In the story mode, Wes first appears during the confrontation with Merv where he will push the protagonists out of the window still under the presumption the Flock was responsible for taking Merv's dog. Wes and the protagonists land on the top of a jet with Wes getting ready to fight. The group compliment his entrance but attempt to plead their innocence, though Wes is still insistent that they were the ones responsible. Upon being defeated, the jet crashes to the ground with Merv angrily stating that the protagonists are not responsible. Wes realizes this and compliments the strength of the protagonists before deciding to join the team as a playable character.
Wes uses a Muay Thai fighting style.
River City Girls 2[]
In this continuity, Wes is the owner of his own nightclub in Uptown. Upon entering his club, Wes will become available as a hirable assist.
Trivia[]
- As shown by his name, Wes bears a resemblance to actor Wesley Snipes (a combination of two characters he portrayed, Blade from the eponymous films and Simon Phoenix from Demolition Man). While blurry, his full name under his yearbook photo (Wesley Snipe or Wesley Ships) appears to reference Snipes as well.
