Tachibana (姿, すがた), full name Tatsumi Tachibana (たちばな たつみ), is a third year student at Nekketsu High School that was first featured in Downtown River City Baseball Story ~Play Ball, Kunio!~. He is an honor student and was the previous captain of his school's baseball club. Tachibana is the boyfriend of Rika Asano.

Tachibana debuts in Downtown River City Baseball Story ~Play Ball, Kunio!~ as the previous captain of Nekketsu High School's baseball club.
In the game's intro, Tachibana is seen talking to his ill girlfriend Rika. Due to a shoulder injury that prevented him from being able to play in the Summer Koshien, he decided to quit baseball and disband Nekketsu High School's baseball club to the shock of Rika. With Sanjūrō Sugata deciding to lead the club himself and entering the upcoming baseball tournament with the goal of winning over Rika's heart, Tachibana rejoins the team with a renewed spirit.
During the ending of the game, Rika does not express any feelings for Sugata and stays with Tachibana.
River City: Knights of Justice[]
Tachibana plays the role of Tatsi.
Tatsi is able to be talked to inside of Nazfard's castle and will assume Cooney Valford is looking for the bathroom, in which he states there is none that're for public use. If Cooney's party is not full, Tatsi will assume he's looking for party members and will offer to join him. If accepted, Tatsi will join the party.
In the international version of the game, Tachibana was renamed to Bernardo.
River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~[]
Tachibana appears as a character unlocked from winning a game as the Reihō Sports Team in free battle. Tachibana is able to use the Hurricane Crash and the Kakkun Shot.

Trivia[]
- Although he has a similar face to Sadao from Go-Go! Nekketsu Hockey Club Slip-and-Slide Madness, the captain of the school's baseball club in that game, he is not the same character as Tachibana.
