Takeru (紗代 ), full name Takeru Tōdō (藤堂 威 ) is a supporting character featured in Stay Cool, Kobayashi-san!: A River City Ransom Story. He is a top executive at the Tōdō Group and is the older brother of Mamoru Tōdō. Despite his position, he has many dubious people working for him behind the scenes. He is described as being rational, calm, and cold-mannered. Takeru often has a harsher attitude towards people with no power.
Background[]
Takeru is first seen at the destroyed bridge where he'll spot Masao Kobayashi and briefly introduce himself as a top executive at the Tōdō Group. Takeru drops the topic of his work and asks Kobayashi if he already knows who destroyed the bridge. He tells Kobayashi that he should stay away from them if he doesn't feel like he's strong enough to take them on, though has the feeling that Kobayashi will still make his move regardless. He mentions his brother Tōdō is also seemingly cooperating with Kobayashi and asks him to not get careless. Takeru states that the time travelers aren't very strong before he takes his leave.
Upon destroying the first batch of aircraft, Takeru will meet Kobayashi once again and point out that he didn't listen to his advice, though assures that it's not an issue. He asks Kobayashi to be careful again before telling him that the enemies are being brought in by aircrafts. Realizing that the group is suspicious of his intentions, Takeru points out that they have a good intuition before leaving and states that they'll need to get through a lot of half-truths in order to get to the bottom of things.
After defeating Kusuhara, Takeru will apologize to Kōki Mizoguchi for being unable to keep Yugo Yamada away from him. He then mentions an important conversation he overheard that each enemy leader has formed a field of negative energy in their respective areas. He states that even with the leaders beaten, the fields and their surrounding negative energy still remain. Takeru informs the group that it'll take a while for them to purify it all, but that it would help pinpoint the order of when each leader showed up in the present day. He summarizes everything by saying that they'll just need to take the leaders out in order and switch off the fields or else time will just repeat itself.
