Tsuge (つげ), full name Raiji Tsuge (つげ らいじ), is a third year student at Hattori Academy who was first featured in Downtown River City Baseball Story ~Play Ball, Kunio!~. He is a top student at his school who is described as being manly and decisive. He diligently carries out his tasks as a ninja regardless if he likes them or not with his skills greatly exceeding Ryūichi and Ryūji Hattori.
Tsuge is a childhood friend and rival of Kojirō Murasaki.[1]

Tsuge debuts in Downtown River City Baseball Story ~Play Ball, Kunio!~ as the captain of Hattori Academy's team.

Tsuge plays the role of Raiji.
Raiji will stop Cooney Valford on the way to Vasarg Castle and fight him in order to test his strength. Upon being defeated, he comments on how impressed he was by Cooney's fighting prowess. From this point on, Raiji can be talked to in Neidard where he will properly introduce himself as a member of a ninja clan from far away and that he has decided to ally with Cooney. He informs him that Princess Mami is being held in a cold place and that a Red Jewel is the key to freeing her.
River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~[]
Tsuge appears as a member of the Japan team and is fought against in the secret round, though can later be unlocked for play outside of the story mode. Tsuge is able to use the Dragon Tail Kick and the Nitro Attack.
Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigeki[]
River City Melee: Battle Royal Special[]
Tsuge returns as a member of the Japan team and is involved in the story mode. Tsuge's moveset remains unchanged and is still able to use the Dragon Tail Kick and the Nitro Attack.
River City Melee Mach!![]
Tsuge would have his moveset changed to instead include the Arashi Senpūkyaku, Mach Dash, and the Raigeki Shuriken.

Tsuge plays the role of Ma Dai.
