Ore wa Otoko Da! Kunio-kun (おれは男だ! くにおくん ) is a gag manga illustrated by Kosaku Anakubo. It ran from 1991 to 1996 and was serialized in the monthly anthology CoroCoro Comic, lasting 11 volumes. It centers around Kunio, who is depicted as a strong but lazy delinquent who defends people that cannot defend by themselves. Wacky antics abound when he encounters different rivals who challenge him in different ways.
In 2018, CoroCoro announced a new chapter of manga for the winter issue of CoroCoro Aniki 2019.[1]

Characters[]
Main characters[]
He is the protagonist. Although he is clumsy, absent-minded and sometimes lazy, he is a fairly strong fighter who does not tolerate those who pick on the weak. Other delinquents constantly challenge him to fights, either out of revenge or to try to overcome his strength, but he almost always emerges victorious.
He is another of the protagonists. He always appears wherever Kunio is, whether by chance, to help him, take a walk or to prevent other delinquents from defeating Kunio, because he wants to be the first to defeat him. Although he almost always shows maturity, it is quite easy to make him angry.
He is a recurring character who appears for the first time in chapter 9. He is Kunio's classmate and best friend.
In the first special chapter, the story is told of how he met Kunio after the latter had been transferred to his school. Hiroshi constantly brags about his apparent strength, but in reality he is too weak. He dreams of one day being as strong as the famous delinquient Kunio, and although Kunio has transferred to Nekketsu High School, Hiroshi thinks that he is just one of Kunio's fans due to the appearance that he had at that time, since Kunio had to hide his true identity.
Supporting characters[]
