Kumiko (くみこ) is a student at Taiyō Academy who was first featured in Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun. She is best friends with Kayo.

Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun[]
Kumiko appears as one of Misuzu's lackeys on the third stage. She wields a chain that can knock the player to the floor, though is able to be taken out easily due to her low health. In the Famicom version, Kumiko will replace Kayo and have a variant that is able to carry a handbag.
River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~[]
Kumiko appears as a member of Team Misuzu and is able to be played outside of the story mode. Kumiko is equipped with a chain by default and is able to use the Mach Bash and the Devil Chain.
River City Melee: Battle Royal Special[]
Kumiko returns as a member of Team Misuzu and is involved in the story mode. Kumiko is equipped with a chain by default and is able to use the Mach Strike and the Devil Chain.

Kumiko appears as the clerk at Pop's Sauna in Ocean Heights.

Kumiko retains her previous role as a clerk at Pop's Sauna, though has moved locations and now works at Sands Sauna, which is also located in Ocean Heights.

- Miyuki, another Taiyō Academy student that debuted in Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun Special is meant to be an equivalent of Kumiko by replacing her as a fleshed-out character. However, both Miyuki and Kumiko appear together in River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~ and River City Melee: Battle Royal Special.
