Johnny (ジョニー Jonī ) is a student at Oklahoma High School that was first featured in Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal. He has a high athletic ability and is the ace of his school's track team. His best friend is Raphael and after the events of his debut, the two would befriend Kunio. Johnny has a girlfriend named Tiffany and in Kunio-kun! Nekketsu Battle! he is the older brother of Jane.

Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal[]
Johnny debuts in Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal as a member of the Oklahoma team that was flown out by Mamoru Tōdō.
In the game's ending, Johnny and Raphael are seen at the airport where they're getting ready to leave for their flight back to the United States. The two have befriended Kunio after the tournament, though this is not shown in-game. In the Game Boy version of the game, Johnny is handed the pair of flowers by Tōdō instead of Raphael.
In the localization Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge, Johnny was renamed to Rocky Rockowitz and is now a member of Team Thornley.
Nekketsu! Street Basketball All-Out Dunk Heroes[]
Johnny appears as a member of the Nekketsu team in the basketball tournament.
Kunio has managed to win a free two week trip to the United States alone, to where he plans on seeing Johnny. When Johnny arrives, he notices that he's with Riki and Susumu Godai who've snuck onto Kunio's flight with a street basketball tournament application form in hand. Johnny joins the three in the tournament as apart of the Nekketsu team. After winning the tournament, Johnny relaxes with the others during the rest of their vacation. Johnny purchases three first class plane tickets for Kunio, though Riki and Godai were unable to board the flight normally as they forgot to bring their passports on the way to the United States.

Johnny appears as the captain of the International Tryouts team and is fought against in the secret round, though can later be unlocked for play outside of the story mode. Johnny is able to use the Super Dash and Torpedo Swimming.

Johnny returns as the captain of the International All Stars team and is involved in the story mode. Johnny is able to use the Bomb Punch, Reflective, and the J Throw.

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms[]
Johnny plays the role of Gao Shun, a loyal general of Lu Bu (Misuzu)'s army who serves as her right-hand man.
In the story mode, Gao Shun appears in chapter three as apart of a side quest Guan Yu (Kunio) is able to take. Gao Shun asks Guan Yu if the rumors of him beating Hua Xiong (Abobo) were true, which Guan Yu is able to request Gao Shun to spar as a way to find out based on his strength. Gao Shun agrees to spar and believes the rumors when he is defeated. Gao Shun will tell Guan Yu that they're currently in danger because they're running low on Lu Bu's special fuel, which he believes Lu Bu will get extremely angry if she finds out. Gao Shun talks about his suspicions of Hao Meng (Alex), as he's the one who manages the provisions but hasn't ever reported any shortages and asks Guan Yu to go interrogate him in Pengcheng. Guan Yu informs Gao Shun that his suspicions were true and he thanks Guan Yu for investigating, as he goes to deal with Hao Meng himself.
Johnny later appears at the end of a chapter as a mini-boss when Lu Bu takes over the castle in Xiapi, where he'll join her in the fight.

- In Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal, Johnny and his teammates excluding Raphael have a unique skin tone different from the Japanese characters. In the localization Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge, all the originally Japanese characters use Johnny's skin tone.
- In River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~, Johnny's name is misspelt as Jonny.
