Kumada (熊田, くまだ ), full name Jūzō Kumada (熊田重蔵, くまだ じゅうぞう ), is a third year student at Torashima Industries IV High School who was first featured in Downtown Nekketsu March: Super-Awesome Field Day!. He is a member of his school's judo club and has been learning judo since he was young. He strives to be the world's best judo fighter, so he is always on the lookout for strong opponents.
Kumada is the eldest son of the owner of a rice grain shop. Although he hates bullies, he dislikes weaklings who make no effort to get stronger even more so.[1]

Kumada debuts in Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day! as a member of the Allstars team. In the Battle Royal minigame, he will have access to the Human Torpedo.
Downtown Special Kunio-kun's Historical Period Drama![]
Kumada plays the role of Torazō, the leader of his own family and enemy of Bunzō.
Torazō had begun engaging in evil deeds which has lead to Bunzō losing power and falling ill. When Yagorō is defeated by Kunimasa, he suspects that Torazō is the one responsible for the kidnapping of Okoto. When Okoto is freed after the first fight against Tatsuichi and Tatsuji, she will reveal to Kunimasa that Asajirō was actually her kidnapper, though Heishichi would inform Kunimasa shortly after that Torazō is working together with Asajirō as a way to wipe out the Bunzō family.
Asajirō will later send out Torazō to fight against Kunimasa, though he ends up defeated which leaves Asajirō angry.

Kumada appears alongside Takeshi Hayami in Shinjuku or Ikebukuro in a part-time job where they're being reported as bothersome with their training for an upcoming athletic meet. Upon defeating them, they will be unlocked for use in the Rumble gamemode.

Kumada plays the role of Jūsō. He is located inside of Neidard Castle and is able to change the jewel that is equipped on the player's armor.
In the international version of the game, Kumada is renamed to Theobald.
