Hirukesu is the main antagonist featured in Stay Cool, Kobayashi-san!: A River City Ransom Story. He is the top leader of the evil organization.
Background[]
Hirukesu and his subordinates travel back in time to capture Kobayashi's friend as a sample they can use to spread negative energy. He is first directly mentioned by Sayo after defeating all of the evil organization's leaders. She mentions that now that the five leaders have been defeated, Hirukesu has begun making his move. Sayo warns Kobayashi that Hirukesu is equipped with powerful armor and that the chances of beating him will be slim. Hirukesu is later mentioned by Yugo as he asks Mizoguchi to not waste any time putting an end to Hirukesu's scheme.
Ending A[]
Hirukesu appears upset that Kobayashi and Mizoguchi were able to purify the area from all of the negative energy and that they were able to take out the organization's leaders. He suspects that they were given outside help, but believes that they're still at an advantage with the sample in their possession. Once Hirukesu's armor is broken, he is astonished at Kobayashi's strength and believes that he'll need to use his secret weapon, though is disappointed that he'll no longer be able to bring the sample into to the future. In an attempt to make the negative energy take control of Kobayashi, he kills his friend under the presumption that Kobayashi's spirit will become their energy. With Kobayashi enraged, Hirukesu is shocked at the sudden power increase and is bewildered on how Kobayashi wasn't affected by his secret weapon.
Upon being defeated, Hirukesu admits his mission was a failure and reveals that the purpose of his scheme. He admires how Kobayashi was able to skillfully stop his scheme, though assures that it won't happen again. Upon opening a portal in an attempt to retreat, Hirukesu is sucked into a limbo between two dimensions as because the area was purified from all negative energy, his technique of slashing through time no longer worked as it required use of negative energy.
Ending B[]
Upon being defeated, Hirukesu is disappointed that he came so far only for him to not bring back home the sample. He is satisfied with the fact that he was able to accomplish what he set out to do and remains hopeful that the negative energy will continue to spread.
Ending C[]
Hirukesu will spot Kobayashi and assume him to be the one who destroyed his leaders while also recognizing Mizoguchi. He states that he's the only person left and that their unit is in shambles. Hirukesu mentions that the outlaws of the future are mechanized and are junk soldiers that have no value, though is curious if they found worth in defeat. Hirukesu decides that he can finally return to the future with the sample, though decides to fight Kobayashi to show off his power.

Ending E[]
Upon coming across Kobayashi and Mizoguchi, he mentions that the people from the future were amazed at what he describes as the "powerless and archaic human race" joined forces to attempt to stop his scheme. He calls Mizoguchi a disgrace and tells Kobayashi that there's no data of him in the future, which means he didn't achieve anything. He mentions that he was hoping he'd be able to fight Yamada as his name still meant something in the future, though decides to kill some time by fighting Kobayashi. Upon being defeated, he's shocked that he lost to someone he deemed as archaic, though assures that the flow of time has already started and that he won't be able to stop it. He states that the negative energy in the area will gradually spread and that he will meet Kobayashi again sometime in the future.
