Hayashi (はやし) is a third year student at Meian High School that was first featured in River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~. He chants about wanting to go somewhere far away on a daily basis. He's always seen staring blankly at a distance so others don't often approach him.

Hayashi debuts in River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~ as a member of Meian High School's team and is able to be played outside of the story mode. Hayashi is able to use Nitro Attack and Warp Shot.

Hayashi returns as a member of Meian High School's team and is involved in the story mode. Hayashi is able to use Nitro Attack and Warp Shot.

Hayashi's moveset was changed to replace the Nitro Attack with the Slide Punch.
