Hakutaka Industrial High School (はくたかこうぎょうこうこう?, lit. "White Falcom Industrial High School") is a recurring all-boys institution that was first featured in Downtown Nekketsu Story and is the school where Naritaka Nishimura studies at. Many of the students are delinquents as they think the lifestyle will make them popular with girls.[1] Nishimura is the school's banchō with Yasuo Sawaguchi coming in second, though his position is not solidified as there are many groups within the school looking to overtake his position. The school also has control over Sakajuku Commercial High School.[2]

The uniform's color is gray. The all-girls counterpart to the school, Hakutaka Girls High School, is located nearby and always has it's students come to cheer at sports tournaments.[3]

Appearances[]

Downtown Nekketsu Story[]

Hakutaka Industrial High School was placed under the control of Tadashi Kinoshita after he had intimidated Nishimura. The students appear as enemies and have a preference to mostly use tires as a weapon.

Downtown River City Baseball Story ~Play Ball, Kunio!~[]

Hakutaka Industrial High School appears as an opposing team in the story mode while students from the all-girls counterpart manage and cheer for the team. The team is able to be played outside of the story mode.

Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari EX[]

The school serves the same purpose as it did in Downtown Nekketsu Story.

River City: Rival Showdown[]

River City: Rival Showdown is a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Story.

Hakutaka Industrial High School is placed under the control of Kinoshita. The students are able to be seen as enemies.

During the first day, Sawaguchi attempts to sell a party ticket to Kunio as part of the scam being run by Reihō Academy and later gets into a fight with him. Sawaguchi runs off to tell Nishimura about the incident, in which the two run into Kunio later and challenge him to a fight at the abandoned warehouse they're occupying. After Kunio defeats Sawaguchi, a wave of Hakutaka students, and Nishimura, the latter proposes an alliance to help take down Kinoshita. If Kunio agrees to the alliance, Nishimura begins to lay out a strategy and time for the following day. If Kunio instead declines the alliance, Nishimura will start a rematch fight with the help of Sawaguchi and a group of Hakutaka students.

On the second day, Nishimura and Sawaguchi arrive late to the warehouse after Kinoshita had already been dealt with. Kinoshita gets up for a third time and gets into an argument with Nishimura over how he had backstabbed him, in which Nishimura challenges him to a fight after he had attacked Sawaguchi. Upon defeating Kinoshita and his goons, Nishimura expresses his gratitude to Kunio for helping him free Hakutaka from Kinoshita's grip and tells him that they owe him a favor for whenever he's in a pinch.

During the final day on the true ending, Nishimura and Sawaguchi will show up to Reihō Academy to assist Kunio and Riki in their fight against Kinoshita. After the fight, the two tell Kunio that they'll protect the floor so nobody can get past them, though after hearing Kinoshita start to get back up, they instead decide to flee and team up with Sanjūrō Sugata and Haruka Nanase who are defending on the floor below.
