D.B Maou (ドッジボール魔王) is the main antagonist featured in Super Dodge Ball for the Neo Geo and is the father of Angeletta. D.B. Maou was once a famous professional dodge ball player and the rival of Kenji's father, though would grow a hatred for the sport after causing an accident that'd kill his wife Mary during one of his games due to his arrogance.

D.B. Maou hosts the dodge ball tournament in hopes of destroying the sport and discouraging any future players from ever participating. He will appear as the final boss in the tournament and has two forms during his fight. Upon being defeated, Angeletta comes to his side to ask him to stop what he's doing and forget the memory of Mary's death, as she wouldn't have wanted him to go on a path for revenge. D.B. Maou will detail his backstory and the reason for starting the tournament, though comes to the realization that his reasoning was a mistake.
D.B Maou is voiced by Daisuke Gōri.

- In the Japanese version of the game, Kenji will tell D.B. Maou during his ending that his father would like to see him again.
- D.B. Maou's second form bears a resemblance to Shoko Asahara, the founder of the Japanese doomsday-cult Aum Shinrikyo. He masterminded the Tokyo subway sarin attack in 1995, and Super Dodge Ball was released in 1996. D.B. Maou's stage is filled with Buddhism imagery and the cult is a Buddhist new religious movement in Japan. Some Japanese players believe that this connection is part of the reason for the game not being released in Japan, though the actual reason was the bankruptcy of Technōs Japan.[1]
