Cyndi is a localized version of Mami first appearing in the North American & European versions of Downtown Nekketsu Story. In this continuity, Cyndi is a student at River City High and is the girlfriend of Ryan. In River City Ransom: Underground, Cyndi has since broken up with Ryan and now has a daughter named Alexis.

Cyndi debuted in the localization of Downtown Nekketsu Story as the replacement for Mami.
Cyndi is kidnapped by Randy and Andy under the orders of Slick and is held captive at the top floor of River City High. Slick would send out a message to Alex and Ryan informing them of what he's done and warns them that they'll be in the fight of their lives if they interfere. Cyndi is first mentioned by Roxy as she meets Alex and Ryan on the Capitol Ave Bridge and informs the two of who Cyndi's kidnappers are and where she currently is. Upon defeating Randy and Andy, Cyndi is able to be rescued and will thank Alex and Ryan before leaving to continue her shopping.
During the ending of the game, it's mentioned that Cyndi has finished her shopping in-time.

River City Ransom: Underground[]
Cyndi first appears during the game's prologue which retells the events of the original game. In the present day, Cyndi has since broken up with Ryan but have remained as friends. Shortly after beating Slick in a fight, Ryan suggests heading to Cyndi's house in Rollingwood as she may know more about what's going on with all the gang activity in the area and would be able to help the protagonists get closer to Merv. Roxy called Cyndi ahead of time to inform her that Ryan was heading over. The protagonists meet Cyndi's new partner William and asks them to pick up some milk if they plan on using her house as a hideout. Upon returning with milk, Cyndi tells the group that some military hoodlums were searching the neighborhood for them and introduces her daughter Alexis. Ryan appears confused as to why she was named Alexis, though Alex doesn't think much of it and instead compliments her face bandaid as he also wears one.
With the town later being filled with clones, Cyndi describes the strange behavior she's noticed in William since they got together, to which he then blows up in front of them. It is then shown that Alex appears happy when William explodes, implying that he has feelings for Cyndi. She then gives a lead to check the Riverside Bridge, as that's where she often found William by chance. During the credits of the game, Alex rides away with Cyndi on his motorcycle.
