Benijishi (べにじし), real name Benibayashi (べにばやし), is a minor antagonist that was first featured in River City: Tokyo Rumble. She is a sukeban and is the boss of the Ibaraki Crew of the Kanto Lion Alliance. Benijishi is the only female member of the Alliance and has a following for her looks. She was formerly in a volleyball club and had a deadly spike move.

In the story mode, Benijishi is first mentioned to the protagonists by Ginjishi when he informs them that she is making her move on Shibuya. Not wanting to fight against women, Riki suggests getting the help of Misuzu.
In Shibuya, the protagonists have trouble finding her and start to think Ginjishi was lying to them until Ginjishi walks past them on the street. Kunio, Riki and Shinji all appear distracted by her looks until Misuzu points out that she was the girl they were looking for. The group chase after her with the boys all introducing themselves and attempting to hit on her. Misuzu appears annoyed and decides to do the talking herself, so she vows that she'll put a stop to the Kanto Lion Alliance's plans on taking control of Tokyo. Benijishi goes silent but shortly after insults Misuzu's looks which angers her. She sarcastically apologizes to Misuzu and begins to fight the group as a warning to not get in their way. Upon being defeated, the boys check if she's okay but are interrupted by Shishiō who comes in and asks Benijishi to fall back. Benijishi apologizes to Shishiō for failing him before leaving.

Benijishi appears as a member of the Lion Association team and can be played outside of the story mode. Benijishi is able to use the Fire Spike and the Nuts Shot.

Benijishi returns as a member of the Lion Alliance team and is involved in the story mode. Benijishi's moveset remains unchanged and is still able to use the Nuts Shot and the Fireball Spike.

Benijishi plays the role of Zhurong.
Zhurong is first mentioned in the fourth chapter when she is called by King Duosi (Ginjishi) and informed of the Shu's invasion of Nanzhong that Meng Huo (Sakata)'s rebellion had caused. She is later seen in Qinzang during her confrontation with the Shu and briefly introduces herself to their generals as a member of the Nanzhong Lion Association. The men are all immediately enamored by her looks and attempt to introduce themselves to her, though she ignores their comments and states that they're not looking for any outside rule. Meng Huo chimes in by pretending to be her boyfriend which makes the other guys jealous, though Zhurong tells him to be quiet and angrily asks why he's calling her his lady. She makes it clear to Meng Huo that once she's done with the Shu, he'll be next. Upon being defeated, she attempts to throw one last knife at Guan Yu (Kunio) after he had complimented her fighting prowess, though it misses and instead hits Meng Huo to her disappointment. The two are then captured by Zhao Yun (Sugata) and brought to Zhuge Liang (Misako) for questioning.
During her questioning she is initially hesitant to speak, though she is surprised by Zhuge Liang's unexpected friendliness. When asked why she fought the Shu, she explains that it was because she heard of their invasion on Nanzhong and that the Lion Association defend their land from outsiders. Zhuge Liang explains that they had only come to stop a rebellion and points to the fact that they have not targeted the people of Nanzhong as proof of that, though Zhurong questions why they're so far beyond the border and that she'll only see them as invaders until she knows why. She mentions how Meng Huo is the only one who started the rebellion and asks why Zhuge Liang continually keeps releasing him each time he's captured, to which she explains that Meng Huo was being let go to find capable people such as Zhurong. She is initially confused by this, though Zhuge Liang states that they want to build a good relationship with Nanzhong and that they're having trouble figuring out who to talk to due to the fact the area has no clear leader. She apologizes for taking things too far and asks Zhurong if she could form a bond of trust between her and the Shu, mentioning that they'd be great trading partners as well. Zhurong explains that she's not the one to talk to for such a decision and doesn't give Zhuge Liang an answer on who she could talk to instead. Zhuge Liang makes it clear she doesn't need to hear an answer right away and simply asks Zhurong to keep the conversation they had in mind. She is then escorted out by Ma Su (Mika).
Zhurong later meets with King Mulu (Shishiō) to discuss her encounter with the Shu. She relays Zhuge Liang's request to him and states that she personally thinks they can trust the Shu. Although King Mulu understands her point, he rejects the offer and wishes to fight them himself before he can accept them as being trustworthy. During the ending of the chapter, Zhurong is seen with the rest of the Lion Association in Dianchi to discuss a trade agreement between them and the Shu. Though they promised not to invade each other, Zhurong asks Guan Yu to fight with her once in a while. She states that she wants to face off against him again once she's improved her skills and believes the rest of the Lion Association feels the same way. On the Hot-Blooded route, Zhurong will partake in the group fight against Guan Yu, Zhao Yun, and Wei Yan (Kumada).
In the fifth chapter, Zhurong is able to be talked to as part of a sidequest. She mentions how the nearby river often overflows at the current time of the year and how it causes a lot of trouble for the fields and livestock. She offers to give Guan Yu something very precious to her if he comes up with a solution which he happily accepts. After acquiring the required ingredients that Zhuge Liang suggested, Guan Yu hands Zhurong the note left by her telling Zhurong to use the ingredients to make meat buns to offer to the god of the river instead of a sacrifice. She gives Guan Yu her pet, White Tiger, for him to use in battle as his reward. In the final chapter, Zhurong is able to be talked to once more as part of another sidequest where Guan Yu will ask her for advice on what a good present for a girl would be. She puts together a bouquet for him and tells him to bring it back to the old lady who needed a gift to give to their granddaughter. Upon giving the bouquet to the old lady, she asks Guan Yu to stay to meet her granddaughter. Zhurong then shows up to see her grandmother and is shocked to see Guan Yu, to which he points out how strange it is that she's being gifted the bouquet she put together herself. Her grandmother then increases the power of Guan Yu's fire tactics to thank him for his help which takes him by surprise. Zhurong explains to him that her grandmother is a god of fire which made increasing the power of his fire tactic an easy task.
