Ōmi (おうみ ) is a supporting character featured in Shodai Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun. He is a second year student at Noda High School and is a member of the Osaka Alliance.
Background[]
Ōmi is first seen at the Osaka Alliance meeting in Shinsaibashi and introduces himself to Kunio. He alongside the others tell Kunio that they need his help in order to take on the Osaka Union. When Kunio asks Izawa about a plan, he states that they're planning on coordinating a synchronous attack across various locations as a way to weaken the Union and take them down. Ōmi then suggests that they begin discussing how they're going to execute their plan. He mentions that they originally thought of going through Shinsaibashi, though Izawa mentions that there's a connecting sewer between Namba that's currently occupied by the Union. Ōmi then asks if he's grouped with Saori, to which Izawa approves of the idea. When Yoshihiro offers to go through Nanba by himself, Ōmi warns him that it's too dangerous, though Izawa offers to go with him instead. Ōmi mentions that a key is needed in order for Kunio and Miho Yanagisawa to get into the Umeda sewers, though Yoshihiro hands them the key as he supposedly found it earlier in the area.
Upon returning to the bridge after defeating Hokuto and rescuing Urabe from the sewers, Ōmi and Saori are seen running in to inform the group that their strategy has been leaked and that the Union led a surprise attack in Namba. Ōmi believes that Izawa and Yoshihiro are being held captive by the Union and that they should head to Namba to gather more information, though Saori mentions that the station is covered by Union members. Urabe suggests going underground with Ōmi mentioning that they came by a locked door along the sewer path. Urabe states that he has the key which gets Ōmi angry for him not telling them sooner. When a police officer arrives at the bridge, Ōmi grabs him from behind while Saori tells the group to run as she kicks the officer. When the officer breaks out of Ōmi's grab, he is knocked offscreen.
After Kunio rescues Ōmi and the other Alliance members from Namba's sewers, they return to Shinsaibashi and Ōmi thanks him for helping them out. Izawa gets angry with Kunio after he informs the group that Miho was kidnapped by Urabe, though Ōmi helps him calm down. Saori suggests to Kunio that he should go see Miho's older brother Masaki Yanagisawa, though Ōmi is reluctant as he doesn't believe he'd be willing to help given that he's apart of the Union. Kunio states that he's going to go to Ebisuchō to meet Masaki anyways, to which Ōmi expresses his concerns and thinks it'd be too dangerous for him to go alone.
Ōmi later appears alongside Izawa and Saori to assist Kunio in his fight against some Union members in the Tsūtenkaku Tower. Upon clearing the enemies, Ōmi tells Kunio that they'll be guarding the entrance. He is later seen knocked out on the ground outside of the tower and tells Kunio that Yoshihiro attacked them from behind. Ōmi then asks what Kunio's next move is and believes that they'll be able to persuade the remaining Union members to surrender. He wishes to finish things as he's getting tired of dealing with the Union. During the ending of the game, Ōmi is seen with Izawa, Saori, and Masaki at the Osaka Port and congratulates Kunio on his efforts.
